God’s gift to you, Jesus, is irrevocable.

“for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:9)

My friends, it is my utmost pleasure to share with you that whatever bad situation you’re in right now, whatever illnesses you’re suffering right now, whatever disappointment or depression or rejection you may have found yourself in right now, God did not “give” it to you and you did not “receive” it from God. What do I mean by that? Isn’t God the Lord who said,

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.” (Isaiah 45:7)

Yes, God is the Lord who had said such. So what does it mean that God did not give you the perilous and challenging moments you’re in right now? It simply means that just as God had caused them to come your way at a certain time, he also has appointed a time for them to be returned to their proper place because He did NOT GIVE them to you. Otherwise, they would have remained yours forever. And, apparently, you never received these situations, you never welcomed them because humanly speaking no one has a comfortable place to house the challenges of life on earth.

Instead, what God GAVE you is Jesus Christ, died on a cross, resurrected out of the tomb overcoming and overpowering death, on your behalf. Now, that is the gift of God which is irrevocable.

Whatever you’re going through, just remember, God is moving you through it. Meaning, there’s a beginning and an end to it. But the love of God for you, his gift to the entire world, is irrevocable.

“For God so loved the world, that he GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but HAVE everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God” (Ephesians 2:8)

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-” (John 1:12)

Suffering is not our home. Healing is. Sorrow and Pains are not our home. Peace is. Death is not our home. Life is.

“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:13)

God’s gift to you, Jesus, is irrevocable. Now that is quite some relief.
