The Handle On Everything.

Are you happy?

Why are you happy? Is it because your conscience currently has no recollection of anything wrong you might have done?

So your happiness is a conscious happiness. It’s a happiness acknowledging the state of the mind. This state can change with every good and bad news.

Now, are you content?

Are you at peace to the point that no matter what comes to your mind, you know for certain that you have one thing that remains constantly good? Do you know that you have the love of God for you that wavers neither to the left nor the right?

Someone can sell you something they claim to be good at a high price, and then degrade it to nothing just so that they convince you to either sell it back to them for nothing. They may even charge you a recycling fee for something that they will sell to someone else and do the same scam.

You’re happy you have something you thought was good until someone comes along and convince you otherwise. Then, your happiness is gone.

But if you’re content with who you have, you will always be giving more than expected. They’ll ask you for one, and you’ll give two because the Spirit of Christ in your heart is who you have that no one and nothing can take away from you.

Be content with whom you have.

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”” (Hebrews 13:5-6)

“The Lord is my helper”, Jesus would say of His Father, “What can mere mortals do to me?”

What can a man do to us that God cannot undo?

“A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.” (John 16:32)

As God is with Christ, so is He with us. As Christ is with the disciples, so is He with us.

Nothing is too small or too big for God in Christ to do for you. Nothing.

So be happy that God has His handle on everything. He has Jesus on everything.

“Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” (John 1:3)

Praised be his name, Jesus, Amen.
