It is a blessing that
you are able to talk when needed, or that
you are able to stay quiet when needed, or that
you are able to walk when needed, or that
you are able to stay put when needed, or that
you are able to eat when needed, or that
you are able to fast when needed, or that
you are able to drink when needed, or that
you are able to sleep when needed, or that
you are able to wake up when needed, or that
you are able to urinate when needed, or that
you are able to pass gas when needed, or that
you are able to move your bowels when needed, or that
you are able to sneeze when needed, or that
you are able to smile when needed, or that
you are able to cry when needed, or that
you are able to weep when needed, or that
you are able to shout when needed, or that
you are able to breathe.
It is a blessing.
Yet, the blessing above all other blessings is the love of God for all of humanity in Christ Jesus.
“God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Christ died for the sinners, so that the whole world may rejoice in Him, for all have sinned in Adam, even the newly conceived.
“For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:22)
All will be made alive, all will be brought the full knowledge of God. Christ is the full knowledge of God.
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3)
“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” (Colossians 1:15)
Adam a blessing, Jesus the blessing.
