If you understand that sin is the disease that causes many all forms of illnesses, both natural and spiritual illnesses, then you can understand why the patient should be forgiven, healed, cleansed and be declared innocent apart from sin.
The patient is not the problem, but rather the disease itself.
The doctor is God who freely gives you a transfusion with Christ’s blood poured from the “red” cross of Calvary. The Law of Moses diagnosed that the patient is infected with sin. The Law of the Spirit enacted the life-saving and restoration measure for the patient.
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-20).
Be reconciled to God my friend. You can’t be healed if you’re trying to avoid the doctor. The doctor is God. Only in Him, can you find healing for your soul: a transfusion with the blood Jesus Christ.
“This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” (John 6:65)
Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.
