Through Jesus, we receive.

“For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” (Romans 11:36)

Everything we receive is a gift. Whether we believe that it came by our money through our work, or not, it is a gift.

“A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.” (John 3:27)

Be thankful in all circumstances. Even when you receive something you believe was owed to you. The debtor could have decided to not return yet what is owed to you.

So be thankful to God, and be thankful to Jesus, and be thankful for the person whom God uses to demonstrate his mercy to you.

“we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
