Jesus, the new order.

When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. (Mark 12:25)

There is a profound message hidden, while yet revealed to those with spiritual ears to hear. In the new covenant, believers are addressed as brothers, or brethren, or siblings.

Even while the NIV tries to rectify that with “brothers and sisters” sympathetically, it opens a door for something so valuable to be denied to believers who are still dressed with a female body and mind.

Remember the verse that says in Christ we are one?

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)

We will indeed be like the angels, for by then we will not have a “male or female” body, but we will all be like Christ. No inferiority among the children of God. There will no longer be a female ceding to the desire of a male, in heaven, for there will be no “male or female” in heaven.

“it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.” (1 Corinthians 15:44)

The old order has indeed passed. The Lord, Jesus, has made everything new.

If anyone (both he and she) is in Christ, he (not she) is a new Creation. Old things have passed. All things have become new. Amen.

No more childbirths. No more conceptions by the will of man. No more suffering in every aspect. There will be no more of an indication (physical and natural traits) among believers to judge one as superior or inferior. Jesus made everything new by the power of God, his Father.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.” (‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭1-3‬)

Now do you see why Paul said,

“But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none” (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭29‬)

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭9-16‬)

To God our Father, through our Lord Jesus Christ be the glory and the power and the honor forever and evermore. Amen.
