power in place of fear

“I heard your voice in the garden,” the man answered, “and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid from you.” (Genesis 3:10)

When you hear of the evils happening in this world, you ought to become thirsty for some goodness. I know I do. Evil is in the heart of man since infancy, like a genetic disease. Thus, the soul has been struggling since infancy, seeking to reach and retain the things that seemingly keep him happy, safe, living. But fear, even fear will cause him to seek those things at the cost of causing harm to others.

By the grace of God received through the blood of Jesus, the spirit of fear is no more.

“For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Only by the Spirit of God can we ever love each other, can we ever seek the good for one another, can we seek the good in one another. Blessed be his name, Amen.
