“The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the LORD Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful. (Malachi 2:16)
If you’re not pleasing your wife according to the will of God, I’m not sure who you’re pleasing. If you’re not her protector, her provider, her everything as Christ is the everything of the Church, I’m not sure if your wife has a husband. Demonstrate your love to your wife. God demonstrated his love for us to all.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.” (Romans 5:8-9)
That’s love. That’s protection. That’s provision.
Love your wife and live happily ever after.
