When many are asked to believe in God, they ask for proofs that God exists.
When many are asked to believe that germs kill, they buy every brand of “anti-bacterial” solutions like Lysol to spray and kill “99.9 %” of bacteria.
What is it that makes a man so foolish to the point he will not accept something that is good for him? Jesus said to us “only believe”. He didn’t ask for us to travel to a distant land. He didn’t ask for us to shed our blood. He didn’t ask for us to work at a certain place for a number of years. All Jesus said is to “believe in him.” And that by believing in him, we also believe in God.
Some would say that they can see germs under a microscope and that’s proof to them. But how many buyers of anti-bacterial solutions have ever touched a microscope or even know how to use one? As a precaution, they heed to the words some they have trusted and acted upon it by buying the solutions for some form of protection.
But Jesus never asked us to buy anything from anyone. All is said is “believe”. And that if you truly, believe then “forgive”. And that if you truly believe, “love”. And that if you truly believe, “rest” in him.
On Judgment Day, people will have no excuse except that they were wrong not to believe something that required zero physical burdens to themselves.
Religion masquerades the gospel to make it look burdensome. And that is the exact opposite of the gospel. The gospel is a message to believe and to spiritually act by. The acts that come as a result of welcoming the message are acts of Jesus through those who welcome him. They are acts that Jesus carries out by the Holy Spirit through the believers. The same acts he carried out when he bodily walked the earth. These are acts of deliverance, not acts of bondages.
If you have enough trust in believing that a bacterial infection can bring someone physical death without ever testing it yourself, you should have enough trust in believing that there is a day of judgment to judge everyone who went every single minute, every single hour, every single moment of their entire lifetime and said they never needed Jesus, nor did they ever want Jesus.
Somebody has a headache and is offered some painkillers knowing that it could bring him some relief, however temporary it may be. He goes on and says “No, thank you”, holding on to his pride of not being comforted by another.
If you don’t want Jesus, it’s either you can’t feel any pain or you don’t want any comfort. Only a dead person feels no pain to his body. Only a dead person wants no comfort to his body. How can a dead person feel physical pain or physical comfort? He’s already been evicted out of his body.
If you find yourself not wanting any comfort, just say “Jesus, please help me.” And he will bring His life to your body to make you alive again. I pray that you do this right this minute, so that you can start living again in the name of Jesus, Amen.
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-15)
All the work you need to do is believe. Jesus said it best.
“The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” (John 6:29)
God sent Jesus. Believe in him.
So you won’t believe Jesus because you can’t see him? Well, here’s what Jesus said about those who believe in him even without seeing him.
“blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29)
So take the risk, believe in Jesus. What have you got to lose? Believe in him, you’ve got nothing to lose. Nothing that is worth more than what you will gain by believing him.
