“All men are created equal”, we want to believe. But the truth is that the only equality we have in common is that we’re created by the same Creator, Jesus (Hebrews 1:10). Each man or woman is very unique, with a set of strengths and a set of weaknesses. Even those who look like two drops of water differ at some level in their personality.
We’re each unique because our Creator, Jesus Christ, is very unique.
“Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you. You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them.” (Psalm 89:8-9)
When we’ve come to know and understand such truth, then we see that we’re members of one body, the human race, a race so loved by God to cause him giving up His Son as a sacrifice to reconcile us back to him, and raise that same Son back to life to do what He does best, loves us continually in every manner, starting with giving us new life, eternal life.
As believers in Christ:
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
We’re the living church, Christ’s body, in a muddy body, called the human race. By grace, we bring life to every dead member of mankind, through sharing with them the good news of life, eternal life from Jesus their Creator, our Creator.
I am uniquely created because Jesus, my creator, is very unique.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness” (see Genesis 1:26)
Jesus is the new creation.
“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son” (see Romans 8:29)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
