Imagine you had just seen how Peter healed a lame man. Imagine you had just seen how his shadow healed those on the side of the road. Imagine you had just heard him preached the gospel. But then later on, he decided to keep away from you like a soiled linen while he stayed instead with the ones who look like him, speak like him, and eat the food he eats. Imagine being rejected by one who had just overwhelmed you with the Word of the love of God.

And he said it right, “salvation is found in no other name but Jesus “.

Imagine you had just seen how Paul rose a man from the dead after such man had fallen off a window. Imagine how Paul overwhelmed you when he said, “in Christ, we’re one creature and that there’s no male or female“. But then you hear him say, “he gave no right to any woman to speak when we gather.”

Refuge is found in no other but Jesus. Acceptance is found in no other but Jesus. Rest is found in no other but Jesus. Joy is found in no other but Jesus.

Only Jesus had said, “All who are weary and burdened, come and I will give you rest.”

Rest from anxiety. Rest from self-condemnation. Rest from the judgements of others. Rest from the weaknesses of ours and others. Rest.

Church, the name to remember is Jesus.

At the end of the day, the testimony we are witnesses of is Jesus.
