Church,
Happiness is a state of mind. A lie can take it away at any moment. Contentment is the fulfillment of the heart with the knowledge and certainty of the love of God.
Christ came and fulfilled our hearts with his presence and renewed our mind with the news of His Father’s love and his love for us, stuffs we once had thought that we needed to earn from God by works and plea.
As Paul once said, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)
By grace we have the mind of Christ. By grace we know the things that the Father has for us in Christ. By grace we hope, live, rejoice and rest. By grace, we fix the eyes of our hearts, the eyes of our understanding on Christ. Through Him we see, through him we appreciate, through him we credit God for the working of all circumstances to our benefit.
Rejoice in Christ.
