There’s a daily obligation, as Christians, we’re all subjected to. It is to be reconciled with everything that we have in God, everything that we are to God, and everything that God is to us in Christ Jesus by His presence in us. It’s a must for every single day for Christians because we have no other lasting source of strength, hope, peace, joy, and life to go through the challenges of our earthly presence.
It says to…”instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” (Ephesians 5:18-20)
The psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit…what do we profit from them? They serve to keep our mind, our conscience and subconscience, occupied with the things that remind us of our happiness. After we’ve worked so hard in whatever earthly capacity or realm, and felt like we’re either underpaid or deceived, our only rest is in the happiness that came from above, Christ himself. He alone with His Father is our contentment, free of any deception or obscurity.
By the works of grace through psalms, hymns, songs, testimonies of faith by all who came before us, we wake up to go through one more day by the living hope, Christ Jesus in us.
