It was not an angel that came down to proclaim the Gospel to us. It was God’s Son, Jesus, Christ, who not only proclaimed but also showed God’s innermost and highest form of consideration of us.
God got His Throne out of order, His Son the Lord becoming our servant, to bring us the knowledge and demonstration of His love for us. That is the order of our salvation.
God’s getting of His throne out of order is similar to a parent’s getting his or her home out of its usual order while he or she makes space for her or his dying child. God made space for us. Such space is in the Son. Death to our sins, new and abundant life to our spirits in the Son.
