Give me the cheap Jesus, the one most of everyone can afford.

Give me the Jesus who’s not after my wallet, but my worries, doubts, and fears.

Give me the Jesus who took away my sins, all of my sins…past, present, and future.

Give me the Jesus who took away all of my sins in exchange for His eternal life.

Give me the Jesus I can afford, the one I can cherish, the one who’s not ashamed of me.

Give me the Jesus who molded me, the one who knew me before I was even formed in my mother’s womb.

Give me the Jesus who’s always glad to see me, glad to hear my voice, glad to be my Savior and my God.

Give me the Jesus who brought me peace, joy, and comfort.

Give me the Jesus who put his praises in my lips, my spirit, my heart and soul.

Give me the Jesus who will never turn me away.

Give me the Jesus who will always be with me no matter where I go, even in physical death.

Give me the Jesus who said,

“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” (John 7:37-38)

Give me the Jesus who’s not upset with me simply calling him, ”Jesus!”
