Religion shows the zeal for God, the zeal seeking after God.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
The only way we can seek God with all of our hearts is when we believe in Christ Jesus, His Son to His glory.
Many started with a zeal for God. Job started with a zeal for God. Moses with a zeal for God. David started with a zeal for God. Peter started with a zeal for God. Paul started with a zeal for God. Yet, the gospel shows the Zeal of God, the Zeal manifested by God.
“God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.” (Romans 4:25)
Our justification. Because of Christ Jesus being raised to life, we are made right with God. We’re not just debt-free before God like one with records of missed payments. We’re just as clean as one with no record of ever missing a payment for sin before God.
God’s accounting system for the whole world ‘s sins was settled by the death of Christ. Christ being raised to life shredded all the records.
“For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.” (Hebrews 8:12)
Believe in Christ Jesus, the new you before God. The infallible Christ Jesus.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-19)
Believe In Him.
Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.
