Hope Heals.

2 Chron 7:14 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

This is one verse that is badly quoted often in difficult times. The quotation almost seems to imply that the world is suffering at the cost of the church’s sins.

That verse has nothing to do with our current situation or any future situations. When God sets a conditional blessing, He already knows the people won’t be able to measure up. Forget the 30-day fasting, 40-day prayers, nothing of what we do can ever force God’s hands.

The people of Israel in the times the words were spoken never got to do any of those things to reap the benefits. It’s just out of reach for any human being. But Christ who represents the people humbled himself and interceded as the Most High priest on behalf of all mankind at the cross and fulfilled everything that would unlock the flood of blessings to all humanity.

The healing Christ brings is not an earthly land free of disease but a body, resurrected body to be received by mankind at the time of resurrection to never fall ill and die again.

By His stripes we are healed.

“ But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:5-7)

By His Sufferings We Have Gained Access Into The Living Hope Of The Resurrection.
