The Name of Jesus

The name of Jesus is not only good for those who try their very best not to do wrong.
The name of Jesus is not only good for those who know what verse is located where in the Bible.
The name of Jesus is not only good for those who are often quoted and revered as “men” of God.
The name of Jesus is not only good for those who use it as some form of authority to put their hands in the pocket of others.
The name of Jesus is not only good for those who can tell you the root meaning of a word found in an ancient text and yet are blind at the underlying message of the word.
The name of Jesus is not only good for those who devoted themselves at trying to be good, trying to do things to God’s credit.
The name of Jesus is not only Good for those who can spell and read it and hear it.
The name of Jesus is good for every descendants of Adam and Eve:

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:23-24)

For this very reason, we have to reckon that the name of Jesus is precious.

“Et si parfois j’ai succombé,
Si dans le mal je suis tombé,
Son nom puissant m’a relevé:
Précieux nom de Jésus!

Et lorsqu’avec Lui je serai,
Et lorsqu’enfin je Le verrai,
Alors sans fin je redirai:
Précieux nom de Jésus!”

Above all other names, the name of Jesus is most precious.
