relief of interrupt

“What do I do now?”, we murmured quietly.

It sucks when the power goes out. It sucks when we get a flat tire. It sucks when the things we rely on are suddenly not around anymore. It does.

I’ve heard others laughing and remembered their moments of confusion, and thank God for those moments of laughter.

When the rules of the game have changed and no one seem to know what they are, when our earthly comfort is taken away from us, we look to you Lord for comfort. We look to the joy of your salvation of us for comfort. Remind us always, Father, of that which lasts beyond the blurriest of the days. Remind us of your joy, your peace, your hope, your promises, your power, in the name of your son, Jesus, Amen.
