Our salvation wasn’t up for debate. When Christ was to surrender himself for the salvation of the world, he prayed fervently to exhaust all possibilities. Our salvation was long decided before the creation of the world. There was no more room for further debate. Three times did Christ go and ask his Father, God, if there was any other way to have this done without suffering like an animal to be bled for sacrifice. It wasn’t up for discussion. It was long decided. Now was the time for execution. The death of Christ to be shortly followed by his resurrection. That, is the foundation of our salvation.
