God so want us to live a forgiven life He caused Jesus, my Lord, His Son, to come and die for us, for our sins, to reconcile us to Him, to pay the legal debt we owed to God for all the wrongs we could ever do and all the wrongs we could ever inherit from our ancestors all the way up to Adam and Eve.
Some people would maybe think of dying for someone they’re crazy about. Others would not even think of getting hurt for another person who hates them. But Christ died for the whole world.
“God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:19)
