“The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” (John 14:21)
What does it mean?
It means that whoever loves Jesus also has the will to be loved by Jesus’s Father. And Jesus too has the will to love and show himself to that person.
Question: Do you love Jesus? Do you know enough of what He has done to cause joy to your heart? Do you know who was in Him guiding Him to do everything He did? If all your answers are Yes and Yes then you can be sure that you are loved by God because your heart cannot contain such certitude if it’s not God’s Spirit being such assurance to your heart.
Not only that Jesus has the will to love you, he also has the will to show himself to you at the proper time. At the time where you have become thirsty to see this wonderful man and God you’ve heard so much about, He will show himself to you. He did to me and he has the will to do it to you too.
Jesus is the well of the living water, the Holy Spirit.
