What are you doing? Ultimately, you’re seeking joy, love and peace. You’re seeking rest. Seeking God to support you in what you’re doing is not to mean to have God bring to fruition whatever your hands are occupied with at the moment. God’s support has never changed and will never change. His support is to lead you to the very things that your heart, mind, body and soul are after: love, joy, and peace. His support is to lead you to Himself. We have many ways of seeking, but only one way of finding what we’re seeking and it is through the death, the burial and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. For only eternal life comes pre-packaged with everlasting love, everlasting joy, and everlasting peace.
A town once became disappointed at the great loss of their pigs and pleaded with Jesus to leave. He could have brought back those pigs to life again. Yet, he didn’t. (Mark 5)
Someone once pleaded with Jesus to come and save her dying brother. He could have rushed to the ailing brother and healed him before he died. Yet, he didn’t. (John 11)
Some once complained to Jesus about the Galileans whose blood were mixed with their sacrifices by Pilate. He could have rushed to Pilate to somehow hold him accountable and brought those Galileans back to life. Yet, he didn’t. (Luke 13:1-5)
We may ask God for anything and everything. For as much as he can bring anything and everything to fruition, his main concern is that we have access to what is much more important. Something that is not affected by the economy, plagues, famines, natural disasters, or status: Eternal life.
Eternal life is comprised of eternal love, eternal joy and eternal peace.
There’s not a man who was ever born who was not after these three things from the moment he was conceived in the womb of his mother to the time his body enters the womb of the earth.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” (John 17:3)

“My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.” (Job 42:5)

“The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ” So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”
(Ezekiel 37:1-10)
Where hopelessness once reigned, life came abundantly.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10)
So abundant that it is to surpass the Full mark and overflow to others.
“On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”By this he meant the Spirit” (John 7:37-39)
Let anyone who is thirsty for everlasting love, everlasting joy and everlasting peace, go to Christ and drink the Holy Spirit.
Be elevated in Jesus’ name. Be risen, in Jesus’ name. Be filled with the non-perishable life, the full knowledge of God’s unconditional love, unconditional joy, and unconditional peace for you, in Jesus name.
Be risen and moved by the unstoppable wind, the unquenchable fire, uncontainable flowing water: the Holy Spirit.
