The end of this year is always approaching no matter what time of the year it is. And, despite many offers or suggestions of good news, in all my forty years of existence I have yet to find a better news or one just as good as the one depicting God’s love of me for me. Nothing had yet come close in reflection of the following news:
“Years I spend in vanity and pride
Caring not my Lord was crucified
Knowing not it was for me He died
On Calvary
Mercy there was great and grace was free
Pardon there was multiplied to me
There my burdened soul found liberty
At Calvary
By Gods words at last my sin I learned
Then I tremble at the law I’d spurned
Till my guilty soul imploring turned
To Calvary
O the love that drew salvation’s plan
O the grace that brought it down to man
O the mighty gulf that God did span
At Calvary
Oh and now I know God has loved me as he loves Jesus
Now I gladly know he owns me as His
Now my raptured soul can only sing
Of Calvary”
Nothing has yet cheered my heart, soul, spirit as having been made alive by God by His Spirit. Nothing has yet succeeded at taking that joy, that peace away from me. For he has said, “never will I leave you, never will I forsake you”.
As was said in past time:
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
The end of the year is near. Many are seeking closure in every forms and areas. The good news of God’s love of me for me never fails to deliver.
Happy Year End! Happy New Year! All, on account of Christ Jesus.
