In the process of identification, as children of God by grace through faith, God’s hand is all over our body so much that you don’t have to look far to find that we glow when the light of truth shines upon us, like the sun shining over an oily surface. He anointed us with the oil coming from his hand.
In addition, his handprint is on us like the handprint left on someone’s precious possession. There’s no doubt, His print is all over us, to identify us as His. Furthermore, God puts his spirit in our hearts like blood filling the fleshy heart, like the electricity that keeps the fleshy heart going. The presence of the Spirit is our DNA, His fruit are the strands, each being unique in identity but yet working together to maintain the integrity of God’s property.
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. (2 Corinthians 1:21-22)
By the glory, the seal, and the grace of God, we are what we are, children of God through Christ our Lord, Amen.
